Pike Studios May 23-31 Sale 2026

Here is a collection of jugs and tumblers that I have made.
Connie, Shannon & Louise are having a pitcher show at the High River Library the month of June. Connie will be giving a presentation on Wednesday June 3 at 6:45 titled My journey as a Potter.

It’s flowers, graduation and weddings time, and Connie and I are all set up to assist you if you desire a nice gift for the occasion. I think all the snow has past but many years ago in late May, in the 1960’s, I drove a mail truck and was unable to clear some mail boxes in Northwest Calgary as there was 4 feet of snow on the roads. I planted our flowers at the studio, so I’m betting on the warm weather. Hopefully we can celebrate the coming of green leaves and warmer, outdoor, gatherings with friends. Connie’s been very busy as always, coming up with new processes to keep the juices flowing. New processes are the doors to new and different ideas that feed the creative spirit. Our studio is brimming over with pottery and many new designs of coffee mugs. I’m sure you could find almost anything to satisfy your interest. While Connie’s been busy making pots, I’ve been busy working through the intricacies of living with a new heart valve and pacemaker. They say I can’t arc weld anymore or use my plasma cutter. So— that means I need to change course to find and focus on some other way to fulfill my purpose in life. It’s always been my belief that all endings present new beginnings and this is not something new. I have a number of choices I can pursue and is only a matter of choosing one or two and see where the road takes me. I think a simpler and less complicated direction might be nice. I think that’s age talking.

We will have cookies and tea and coffee for you as you browse and of course tours of the studio to explain how it’s all done. After 55 years and 360,000 pounds (160,000 kilos) of pottery, I’m sure I can tell you few things that I know will entertain and enlighten you. We look forward to seeing you as always. You are the ones who make it possible for us to live the life we are so lucky to live.       Bob and Connie

We would love to see you at our sale. And don’t forget about the great coffee, (we make decaf too) tea and cookies and bring some friends if you can. And there’s the draw for a $100 gift certificate. The parking is free and the experience will be just lots of fun. We can talk and debate the arts if you’re interested. Without you there would never be us. You make it possible to do what we Thank you        Bob & Connie
